The amount of streams and waterfalls located at Stara Planina/ Old Mountain (Balkan Mountains) is bigger than the rest of Serbia combined. The abundance of water, the most significant element of life, blessed this area with an exceptional diversity of flora and fauna. The panoramic view from Kozji Kamen at Zavoj Lake, and the second highest peak in Serbia (Midzor 2169 m/ 7116 ft.) give you a chance to unwind in nature. The Arabinje waterfalls Tri Kladenca, and Tupavica waterfall is a perfect hike next to drinkable water, a habitat of trout, and river crayfish.

What is the concept?

The serenity of waterfalls and streams amplified by mesmerizing views, and the pleasure of nature are key aspects of this tour.  

Step by step…

Day 1- Belgrade- Pirot- Arbinje Waterfalls- Dojkinci

Your tour begins in front of your accommodation at 8 AM. After 3.5 hours drive, we reach Pirot city where we make the stop for a short walking tour and lunch. The next stop is the lushest and most diverse part of the Stara Planina/ Old Mountain (Balkan Mountains) Arabinje region. This beautiful river valley surrounded by thick beech and spruce forests is a unique habitat for the lush flora and fauna of the Nature Park. Five kilometers (~3 miles) from Dojkinci village we will reach our first stop in the Arbinje region, and the most visited waterfall of the mountain- Tupavica Waterfall. We will continue our exploration of this area, following the riverbed, with few stop-byes until the road ceases to exist. From this point, we will hike to the climax of this day- Tri Kladenca Waterfall. After the hike, we will go to accommodation and have dinner.

Day 2- Dojkinci- Goat's Stone View Point- Pirot- Belgrade

The invigorating breakfast will set us in motion for a new day. The new day requires a new hike. Kozji Kamen (Goat’s Stone) vantage point is the place where a soothing view of Zavoj Lake can be found, and all sheerness and beauty of Stara Planina/ Old Mountain (Balkan Mountains) can be felt. After the hike, and spoiling yourselves with a panoramic view, we will go to Pirot city for the lunch and head back to Belgrade.
